Are always fun. These were just a little more fun due to the company I was in at the time. While showing visitors the beauty of the Mesa, I encountered this Great Blue Heron in the late afternoon light of October 7, 2011.

Have been spending lots of time this week capturing images on Grand Mesa in sometimes challenging weather conditions, often the BEST for photography! By chance, I ran into another landscape photographer out there whose work I have admired in local galleries in my area. We spent a couple of hours shooting together and sharing our experiences "chasing light".  It was a good time and reminded me that IMAGES ARE GIFTS to be shared.  The weather turned cold with wind rain and snow today.  Probably will cut the color season shooting short, but there were some great shots out there the last couple of days.  Here are a few to enjoy while I am prepping the real posts:

Wow, it's been a busy time.  Between running around shooting new photos during what, I must say, is a particularly spectacular Rocky Mountain color season, I have had a couple of successful sale/exhibits.  I want to thank all the photography connoisseurs who visited my tables at the Mesa Community Center Color Sunday celebration on September 25, and those who dropped by my display at Mesa Lakes Resort this past Color Weekend.  You kept me hopping with your questions and offered much encouragement with your comments and compliments. Thanks to all who stopped by and a special thanks to all of you who now own a piece of my work!
